COACHES - JV / Softball Head Coach Dave McKenna

Dave McKenna, a native of Carthage, New York,  joined Coach Williams' staff for the '07 season, and brought with him an impressive resume'. Coach McKenna graduated from Carthage High School in 1998, where he lettered in baseball, football, and basketball. During his junior and senior years, Coach McKenna was named 1st team All-State as a baseball player.

Dave played his college baseball at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, where he was a four year starter at short-stop, while also logging some playing time at third base. In 2003, Dave graduated with a degree in Physical Education from UNCW, and while there, he also coached an AAU and JV Baseball Team.

Upon graduation from UNCW, Coach McKenna accepted a head baseball coaching position and an assistant football coaching position at Beaver River Central at Beaver Falls in New York. Later he decided that he would take an offer to come to Lamar County. Dave accepted the Physical Education opening at Lamar County Elementary School in July of '07.

Coach McKenna resides in Milner, and was welcomed to the Trojan Baseball Program in '07. In the '10 season. Coach McKenna will begin his 4th year as the Head Coach of the JV team. Dave is, also, currently serving in his 4th season as the Girls Head Softball Coach in '10.
