CAMP PHOTO ALBUM / REGISTRATION FORMS (CLICK-HERE) Dear Parents: One of the most important things a young baseball player can learn to ensure future success, as the level of competition increases, is the proper fundamentals, mechanics, attitudes, & the team concept in baseball, as early as possible... Athletic ability and strength will enable young baseball players to be very competitive and successful. However, when the level of competition increases, those with poor fundamentals fall behind very rapidly. One of the most difficult tasks facing coaches at the advanced level of competition (high school, college, etc.) is trying to correct poor fundamentals . It is very difficult for athletes to change old habits and poor fundamentals and replace them with correct ones, when they have been ingrained at an early age... They become conditioned-responses, and are employed sub-consciously by the player(s). Therefore, it is vital that they receive proper training from the beginning, and the on-set, of their baseball careers. I encourage all young baseball players, who are serious about the game, to learn and develop the proper fundamentals as early as possible . The best way to do this, is to have someone who has the knowledge and experience, to show and to teach them the proper way. It should be stressed that once a young player learns the proper fundamentals, then it is the player's responsibility to work and practice these fundamentals until they become a conditioned-response. Having been involved with baseball at the collegiate level, I am confident the best type of instruction is small camps, or clinics, where the only purpose is intense instruction with hands-on involvement. Most camps, however, are designed for competition and to expose players to the next level (high school, college, professional). Regardless of what camp, clinic, or coach, a young player goes to for instruction, it is imperative that he is taught the proper fundamentals. Best Of Luck, FAST-FACTS...
The Indoor Hitting & Training Facility will be utilized in improving the Camper's Hitting & Batting Skills... A 'state of the art' pitching machine, as seen above, is just one of the resources that will be available for hitting instructions during the camp.
